Project Overview:

Pennsylvania Chemicals is a world scale petrochemicals facility to be constructed in Monaca, Pennsylvania, USA - thirty miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The project is divided with two scopes: ISBL and OSBL. The ISBL scope is the supply of 1.5 MTPY Ethane Cracker Unit and three Polyethylene units. The OSBL is the supply of the rest of the facility, the cogeneration unit, rail and utilities. The project will be performed predominantly on a direct hire basis with some specialty and service subcontractors.

The project is employing a modular approach to its execution which includes modules that will be assembled at contractor fabrication yards by a team that includes the contractor, Bechtel, and client staff. Applicants for this position shall have industrial experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below.

The position is located in an industrial port area nearby the city of Tampico, Mexico. Tampico experiences periods of high crime and security controls will be in place for this work location.

Position Overview:

The Module Yard scheduler will be responsible for development and maitenance of Original and Current Module Assembly and Delivery Schedules. Validates and analyzes module yard subcontractor’s schedules and progress. Performs weekly and monthly progress reporting. Interfaces with module yard subcontractor, HO and Site Project Constrols team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Module Yard Scheduler will be responsible for supporting Module Yard Lead Planner. Duties include:

Establishing and maintaining the Module Assembly and Delivery Schedule utilizing Primavera P6. Monitors and validates Module Assembly Subcontractor’s schedule including: schedule logic, forecast and actual dates, earned value, quantity reporting, and manpower requirements. Evaluates and analyzes subcontractor schedules for required work-arounds or potential schedule improvements. Updates module assembly status in the overall Project L3 schedule based on status and analysis of the subcontractor’s detailed schedules. Routine interface with EPC Planning staff at various locations.

Other duties include input to the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports and issuance of the weekly schedule analysis report. Additional duties include supervision of the implementation and maintenance of the Weekly Work Plans, Productivity and Progress Curves, Work Front Analysis, Critical Action Item Report.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration and a minimum of seven (7) years planning/scheduling experience OR a minimum of ten (10) years planning/scheduling experience, 5 to 10 years field experience with heavy industrial construction work desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and analysis to PC, other groups, Bechtel Mgmt and Client Mgmt. Leadership skills, supervisory skills, and the ability to adapt project controls principles into a multi-company environment is essential. A working knowledge of cost work processes related to schedule engineering activities is required. Familiarity with Bechtel standards, procedures, organization and automated systems preferred. Familiarity with international project execution and ability to speak spanish is preferred.
