Pennsylvania Chemicals is a world-scale facility that will use ethane to produce 1.6 million tonnes of polyethylene per year. The project will involve up to 6,000 workers during its construction and is expected to employ 600 permanent employees when completed. The ethylene / polyethylene complex will be in the Ohio River Valley north of Pittsburgh. It comprises an ethane cracker and three polyethylene units, plus OSBL including a gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration unit and a large storage-in-transit rail yard.
The project is employing an approach to its execution which includes modules that will be assembled at contractor fabrication yards by a team that includes the contractor and Bechtel staff. Applicants for this position shall have industrial experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below. The position is located in an industrial port area nearby the city of Tampico, Mexico. Security controls will be in place for this work location.
The HR Coordinator will report to the Project HR Supervisor and provide HR support to the project management and staff.
Coordinate interviews for candidates and follow-up to determine required actions once interview is complete
Organizes material for meetings, presentations, and training sessions. May operate a variety of audiovisual equipment in the presentation of programs, orientation, and conferences
Provides general administrative support to HR team
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Previoius HR Coordination Experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
Ability to work with various departments and foster a teamwork environment
