Software Analyst (Configuration & Release Management)

Provides corporate Build Management, Release Management and Configuration Management function. Establishes and coordinates with developers to create standard build procedures. Ensures Corporate Software Development Methodology Framework compliance. Maintains standard build environments. Manage corporate TFS repositories and databases. Manages software distribution system. Tests software for installation standard compliance and compatibility.

Permanent Position

  • Maintains standard build platforms. Builds applications following corporate standards and developer instructions. Assembles release package and tests installation against standard configurations.

  • Responsible for working with developers to create and maintain a standard automated build process.

  • Responsible for the application installation procedures. Reviews packages for compliance and as necessary develops VBScript and MSI installation packages.

  • Maintains corporate application source code repository. Responsible for the overall repository structure and procedures.

  • Maintains metrics related to work process for analysis.

Basic Qualifications and skills


Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering Or, Masters in Computer Applications (MCA)

Position Skills

Total Experience in IT: 3 to 5 years


  • Build and Release management of Microsoft Applications Visual Studio based and IIS

  • Automated Build and Release Management (TFS, PowerShell)

  • Configuration Management and Software Release principles


  • Installation script design (VBScript, App-V, InstallShield, MS Build)


  • Familiar with the Microsoft suite of operating systems (Windows 7/10) and architectures

  • Familiar with the Installation, Build and Deployment of Microsoft suite of development tools (Visual Studio, IIS), as well as, Oracle, and other SQA tools like OCRA, AppDNA, etc..

  • The candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and be team oriented

  • Innovative and assertive in proposing/implementing new ideas/processes

  • Highly motivated and self-starting, should have proactive approach to resolving issues and working with limited supervision

  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and implement it effectively
