There is vacancy for professional MEP, HVAC Infrastructure experienced Mechanical Engineer, qualified to degree level. A minimum of eight years’ industrial experience is required for this position. Candidate should have held a similar industrial position in the Engineering teams for execution of Basic/Conceptual Engg, Detail Engg., FEED, EPCM, EPC LSTK modes of execution for Indian and International projects.

The MEP Engineer will perform following duties:

  • Review of Scope & Technical Contract requirements for completeness of data

  • Review of PFDs, PIDs, MSDs, Calculations, Data sheets. Commenting/review on the same for completeness

  • Develop technical specifications for Equipment/Package. Review of specifications from Client/PMC

  • Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients/PMC, Bidders/Vendors

  • Design, preparation, review of MRQs, calculations, datasheets, specifications. Review of Quotes, analyzing deviations, raising of TQs, TBEs, MRPs

  • Review of Vendor Documents

  • Resolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages

  • Providing Inputs/Review for Progress reporting

  • Supporting the project through construction and commissioning phases

Specific capabilities required for the role include experience in:

  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning), for large complex facilities like Airports, Metros and similar public facilities.

  • Architectural and structural construction of the building, equipment and service feeds and how they will layout within the building.

  • Good knowledge of HVAC software in load calculation, ducts and pipes sizing, duct support, noise and vibration analysis.

  • Prepare conceptual and detailed engineering plans, specifications, standard details and other MEP submittals to support construction.

  • Ability to understand and visualize constraints within the project and lead the coordination process with all MEP trades.

  • Review and analyze all MEP design and shop drawings, materials, schedules, a program of works, etc.

  • Assist in the scope review, budgeting and justification of MEP change work order.

  • Log and post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings.

  • Review procedures, witness testing and commissioning of MEP equipment.

  • Experience in using CAD software like AutoCAD, Autodesk MEP and Revit MEP.

  • Understand distinct types of materials to be used for different services and review of vendor proposed materials.

  • Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE), Client specifications.

  • Preparation of documentation for submission to local bodies for review/approval.

  • Familiarity with software tools for MEP and Metro Rail project facilities.

  • Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders.

  • Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects.

  • Good oral as well as written communication skills are essential.

Education required (minimum):

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or universityCandidate will be required to:

  • Plan and conduct independent work within the New Delhi Execution Unit

  • Ensure project/proposal activities are carried with sound engineering practices and of desired quality within schedule and cost.

  • Interact with Global offices, execute work on workshare mode.

  • Participating in Value Engineering, design and cost optimization.

  • Coordinates technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews.

  • Develop standard documentation for use on projects

  • Training of Engineers for working on Infrastructure projects

  • Travel to support activities at construction sites, supplier’s works or in other engineering offices.Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language. Willing to travel to International offices and sites on business trips/assignments.Candidate to mention their experience in Infrastructure projects involving MEP, HVAC, Fire-fighting, Plumbing, indicating details of Equipment/Packages dealt with and extent of Engineering/involvement by self.
