NS&E Government Services (GS) serves as the primary interface with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in support of various audits, issues and resolution. We ensure Bechtel recovers reasonable, allowable, allocable home office overhead expenses needed to manage and oversee government contracts through the development of indirect recovery rates. GS helps to ensure NS&E business systems remain in compliance with government contracting regulations and company disclosure statements. We engage, coordinate and support multiple departments and organizations within Bechtel.
Summary of Essential Duties
Responsible for development, maintenance of Business Objects (BO) SQL’s in relation to forward pricing rates and final incurred cost submission
Utilize databases in work execution, reconcile data to books of record (as necessary)
Analyze overhead cost data for variances from year to year for audit and management support
Support team members with CFAR reporting and training of CFAR/BO to new team members
Screen and monitor crucial overhead data to determine allowability based upon government regulations
Pursue various assigned overhead jobs for descriptions that are complete and accurate information
Provides and implements suggestions to streamline and improve processes
Other responsibilities to be added as training progresses, such as responses to government audit requests. Position may evolve based upon team requirements and reorganization.
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline and 9 years of related work experience; 15 years of related work experience in lieu of degree
Currently utilizes Microsoft Outlook Excel, (advanced, including Pivot tables to summarize large data sets), Word and Power Point applications
Effective oral and written communication skills, flexible to handle multiple tasks
Expertise with Business Objects and CFAR
Willingness to learn and apply government regulations, as applicable to position
Enhancement of skills as needed, such as basic accounting principles and pursuit of further knowledge as listed under Preferred and Desired categories
Able to travel to San Francisco for training and relocate to Glendale, Arizona
Microsoft Access database program (create tables, queries, and reports)
Understands Bechtel’s organizational structure and policies and procedures
Microsoft Visio (create and maintain flow charts for process mapping
Knowledge of Federal acquisition regulations(FAR) and cost accounting standards (CAS)
Visual Basics for Application (VBA) programming language (automating MS Access procedures)
